Blue Sands, Black Houses
The Guardians of the South East.
An Empire founded in the desert sands, it’s founder the General Turvaan settled here in disgust for what he considered his failure, the loss of Twinwatch – although history holds him free of such a blunder. A nation founded by Dragonborn, it now is home to every race the Saviors has, with a large population of elves and halflings in particular. It holds a border in name only of fifty stretches as Turvaan’s defenses are not what the other nations put forward – the plain fact of the matter is that no Turvaan patrol will venture closer then half a stretch to the Pale Shroud, preferring to set ambushes in their own territory as opposed to fighting battles in the mists. Otherwise Turvaan runs about twenty stretches to the edge of the desert where it then renounces any claim to the ten or so stretches of land to the Lording Stones as per the wishes of their founder. The Renounced Lands is protected by a wall which was built by the famed Halfling architect Glassy Stepshoulder , the Sand Dragon Line which is occupied by a Prima Legion at all times given the increased chances of an enemy making it through Turvaan’s porous defenses and is considered a masterpiece by every military minded individual that has ever laid eyes on it. Beyond the walls is a sheltered haven where the three Saviors Free Cities have grown (Near Turvaan, Paleless, and Urgost’s Manor), all three of which are heavily peopled by Halflings and Tieflings. The Free Cities are also prized as vacation and meeting sites for the nobility and officership of the Saviors factions as it removes them from the politics they have to deal with on a daily basis at home or on the battlefield. The Empire of Turvann is as one might suspect managed by a human family; the Shadanfinate who rule as Sultans under a banner of a golden sun on a field of a black starry night. The Empire was also intelligent enough to claim tribute from the Free Cities for the land that they have let them grow upon – a practice which has made Turvaan very wealthy indeed and has kept the land a part of the Saviors political realm despite the wishes of it’s founder to the contrary.
