Blue Sands, Black Houses
The Guardians of the North West.
The smallest nation in the Saviors is also perhaps the most feared, a wild woodland with a border of twenty stretches, it runs about thirty stretches to the Lording Stones and every square foot of it is filled with traps, ill tempered defenders, and defensive magic…which often takes a very offensive form. Pale Shroud invaders have lifelines that can be measured in seconds when they leave the shelter of the mist as Verendi is the only nation that actually enjoys it’s lot in life – slaughtering ghouls happens to be the nations past time and many of the locals have made quite the sport and living from it. Elves are the largest population base, however Verendi is a nation which will take in any who wish to live in it as equals and therefore has quite a diversity of peoples which includes all races of the Saviors….and even a few which do not hail from it. It is also the only land in the Saviors which refuses to acknowledge a ruling class and despite what one would expect does quite well without one. The entrepreneurial nature and wild happy go lucky people of the land makes it more difficult to manage then anyone could hope to accomplish for long, and the people have a tradition for making sure that order is kept, a little thing they like to call vendetta. When the Verendi do field an army they always carry the banner of their founder – an black oak tree leafless for winter on a snowy white field.
